Another happy face at our annual event. It’s the shiny @nimuesmit! Nimue has been involved big time in many of the work we’ve done at TMHP from the very beginning. Happy to have her on site to talk about topics that matter (wearing an ethical look)🍷💬

“Last week I hosted a table at TMHP's annual dinner. The network of fashion companies that work with TMHP to improve the fashion industry were there. At my table we spoke about financial health of those that are self employed in fashion. Questions like: How does your and your parents background influence how you deal with your finances? How can we create healthier power balance between work providers and workers? What can we learn from other industries? Any thoughts on financial health? Please share them with me! Lent this upcycled @thefrankieshop suit from @circleclosetcommunity”

✨TMHP ANNUAL EVENT 2022✨

What better way is there than to share the words of the people who attended this magical evening themselves?

@terrygroenen “This Wednesday I was invited for the Annual Year Event of the Models Health pledge. To share thoughts and initiatives to create a healthy and safe work environment within our industry. There were (ex-)models, model coaches, publishers, and CEOS from different brands present. It was really nice and helpful to talk with each other. I talked and shared my thoughts about the subject: Diversity and inclusivity. We are all convinced that the industry needs to change but how can we do that? And who is in charge of that? The designers who make the clothes, the brands who book the models, the agency's who represents models or the consumers who buy the clothes. It's a story about an chicken and an egg haha. What is your opinion? Please share your thoughts below, we need your help 💗”

“I travel light”, Belgian designer Diane von Furstenberg once said, “I think the most important thing is to be in a good mood and enjoy life, wherever you are.”

It’s easy to get into the worrying mood when packing. What do I need for X months, will they hunt me down with my 3-cm-too-big suitcase. Do I need to take a train earlier, to be safe? And how the hell will I fit in my other tasks with this last-minute gig that just came in and requires me to sit in a plane all day? Can I go an hour later or is that too risky?

When you notice these thoughts popping up, remember Furstenberg’s words and breathe. You’ll get there, and nothing else needs to change. Keep the good vibes.

To go up in the air is pretty exciting, to land on brand new soil as well. But what about the space in between (and the waiting game before)? ✈️⌛️

All of you Fashion people — Travel time makes up a serious amount of your working time! And it’s so easy to let those minutes fly by as if they’re already wasted. The head has the tendency to start spinning in those moments of boredom (or stress) so what about spending the waiting time a bit more consciously?

Some tips from the TMHP team:
1. Read a good book
2. Journal about the trip. How you feel before, during, after. Reflect.
3. Get creative. Draw with a pen or on an iPad, or make a vision board on pinterest.
4. Meditate - actively 🧘🏼‍♀️
5. Prep your meal calendar

Lets commit to living our lives consciously 🙌🏻

Talking about travel… this feels like TIME traveling. And Jameela Jamil] has got it right. Let’s say no to this seemingly light trend article of @nypost once and for all. We’re NOT doing this deadly skinny thing again. We’ve JUST overcome it and we’re going to continue that movement. This trend - for once - is not going to follow the 20 years rule. 😡

Instead, as Jameela put so nicely, we’re going for happy chic. We want to see healthy, energetic, passionate life enthousiasts in the magazines and on the runway. We’re continuing that journey and won’t make compromises. 😈

Jameela Jamil] “We are not going back, and how dare the media give this bullshit any oxygen?! I am of the generation of the first wave of this. We never fully recovered. I lost two decades of my life. I'm BEGGING you to violently reject this, and to VIOLENTLY REJECT any people, or magazines or news outlets who are participating in the spread of this hell. We worked so hard and made so much progress and we are not being dragged back.

Defund diet culture.

Men are not forced to tolerate a dossier being handed out every decade of the new BODY TYPE they are EXPECTED to have.

I am disgusted. Anorexia is the highest cause of death of ANY mental illness.

Promotion of this shit should be seen as a crime.

There is nothing *chic* about a deadly drug addiction that makes you so thin because you're slowly dying. So bored of this huge underestimation of our right to be happy with ourselves. Why must we be coerced into constant extremes? I PROPOSE HAPPINESS CHIC. Ffs.”
