You already live in the UK
EU citizens and their family members already living in the UK by 30 December 2020 have to register under the settled status UK scheme to retain their rights to remain indefinitely in the UK after 30 June 2021.
There is no application fee for those applying for settled status and you are allowed to apply from outside of the UK. The application process is completed online or with the ‘EU Exit: ID Document Check’ app.
You do not need to apply for settled status if you are an Irish citizen and have been granted indefinite leave to enter or remain. Settled status will grant you indefinite permission to remain in the UK. However, should you leave the UK for a period of more than 5 years, your settled status will be lost.
You don’t live in the UK, but you’ve been booked on a job or want to work in the UK for up to 30 days
You are allowed to come to the UK for work for up to one month without a visa or a sponsor. That means you are all good for any last minute photoshoots that are booked in London.
You want to be in the UK for work for longer than 30 days
If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you will need a visa sponsor, such as a modelling agency, to sponsor your Temporary Worker Creative and Sporting visa (T5). On the T5 visa, you can come to the UK for a maximum of up to 12 months, or the time given in your certificate of sponsorship plus up to 28 days, whichever is shorter.
The application fee for each person applying is £244. It is reduced by £55 if you’re from one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden or Turkey.
